A expressão 'Out Of The Frying Pan (And Into The Fire)' bastante popular em outros países como a Itália, não é tão comum no Brasil.
Seu entendimento seria algo como: saindo de uma situação ruim e entrando em uma situação pior (even worse).
Abaixo um exemplo em inglês:
"He worked too hard on that job. But on this new job he is working even harder!. He does not have any social life anymore." 
Reply: "Out of the frying pan and into the fire."
